Prof. Rakesh Kochhar is a nationally renowned gastroenterologist with decades of experience as a clinician, researcher, and academician. He retired as Professor and Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, where he spent over three decades training and mentoring future gastroenterologists.

A respected leader in his field, Prof. Kochhar has been awarded WHO fellowships to the USA and UK and has contributed extensively to the advancement of gastroenterology worldwide through research, teaching, and clinical expertise.
